​We work towards our vision of New Zealanders from refugee backgrounds participating fully in Aotearoa New Zealand life, through carrying out advocacy, community development and reserach in response to needs identified by communities themselves.

Community Events

We hold regular clinics at our office.  These are provided to former refugees and their families at no cost.   These include JP services, police clinic, funding advice and referrals to other services.

Cooking Projects

WRF employees a Community Connector who helps the migrant groups represented in WRF to connect, grow and put on celebrations and events.  We may also be able to help with funding your event.

Education

We support language classes and other education for our members.

Advocacy

We work hard to ensure the voice of former refugees is considered in decision making at all levels. We are part of a NZ wide network of Forums and similar organisations.
